Visitor Training Workshop
Saturday, October 7, 2017
(8:30 - 16:30)
King's Academy | Jordan
Despite reform efforts education remains largely de-personalized, is often confused with high stakes testing, and does not equip learners with the understandings, dispositions, values, competencies, and skills they need to deal with the global challenges of our times. Schools may have improved as a result of current models of accreditation, but they have not changed much in purpose, orientation, or design.
Therefore, we would like to introduce you to ACE Learning, NEASC’s groundbreaking accreditation protocol, which aims to change the educational paradigm by taking a fundamentally different approach to accreditation.
The one-day workshop is designed to
- introduce you to the ACE conceptual framework and
- train you to serve as a member of ACE Accreditation Visiting Team ("Team Visitor").
Because ACE requires Visiting Team members to possess a specific set of skills and competencies, participants should
- be excellent writers and communicators in English;
- have solid knowledge of and experience in observing ‘learning’;
- have held a leadership position or taught at an international school for at least 4 years.
NB: Following the workshop, participants will be asked to submit additional materials to ensure their readiness to conduct visits on behalf of NEASC.
Workshop Leader: Diane Ullman, International Accreditation Leader NEASC/CIE
Registration Deadline August 31, 2017
Workshop Fee: $140 USD (includes all materials, lunch and refreshments); payment by credit card is required and is non-refundable
Location: King's Academy, Jordan
Limitation: Maximum 20 participants
Those interested in serving as a member of an ACE Accreditation Visiting Team ("Team Visitors") are required to attend a one-day visiting team training workshop and subsequently submit additional materials as evidence of their readiness to conduct visits on behalf of NEASC.
NEASC reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops due to low enrollment, in which case all registered attendees will be promptly notified.
Registration for this workshop is full and now closed. Please email CIE to be placed on the Waitlist.
