March 19, 2020 - Helsinki, Finland (CEESA, NEASC Pre-conference Workshop)
NEASC Accreditation for Learning: From Compliance to Improvement to Transformation
Location: CEESA Conference, Helsinki, Finland
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (9:00-16:00)
This full day workshop will explore ACE Learning as a process that helps schools prepare learners for the challenges of the 21st century by focusing on the learner impacts they most value. ACE Learning helps schools embark on a transformation journey by using a developmental approach that honors each school’s learning trajectory. Participants will also learn the steps that are necessary to become a NEASC Accreditation Visitor.
This hands-on workshop is designed to:
- introduce schools to the ACE Learning conceptual framework
- provide prospective NEASC Accreditation visitors with the initial training to serve on either Preparatory Visits or External Review Team Visits on behalf of NEASC International
NEASC expects Visiting Team members to:
- be excellent writers and communicators in English
- have solid knowledge of and experience in observing learning
- have held a leadership position or taught at an international school for at least 3 years
Following the workshop, prospective Visitors will have additional requirements to follow to ensure their readiness to conduct visits on behalf of NEASC.
